Hello – I’m Sam Manning. I have practiced traditional acupuncture in and around Oxford for the last twenty years and I treat a wide variety of people and conditions. I love the breadth of experiences that my general practice has brought me, giving me the opportunity to have helped individuals with all types of pain – physical, mental and emotional – and people with both acute and chronic conditions.
“Sam has made a great job of treating my tennis elbow with acupuncture as well as helping other muscular problems with massage”
However, I have also been fortunate enough to develop more specialist areas of interest. As a member of the Acupuncture for Childbirth Team (ACT) throughout my time in practice, I especially enjoy helping women to maximise their fertility, then supporting them through conception, pregnancy, labour and the post-natal period.
“I’ve seen a number of acupuncturists and I would recommend Sam as a practitioner for her skill in getting to the root of a problem and elegantly dealing with it.”
For several years, I ran a busy clinic at a local drop-in centre for the homeless and recently housed, where the core of my practice was working with people with mental health problems (including anxiety and depression) and those moving on from addiction. In 2013, I completed a diploma in paediatric acupuncture and expanded my practice to include treating children.
I am always happy to talk about how acupuncture and Chinese medicine can contribute to better health, independence and an enhanced sense of well-being.
